Central desk and stool styleはdeskとstoolを中心に、アクティブラーニングチェアを環状に配置する普通教室の新しいスタイルです。
従来の教室のレイアウトは、先生と生徒の距離がそれぞれ違い、前後の席で授業への関心・態度などが異なり、不平等な環境になっていました。しかしそれを解消し、教師と生徒、生徒と生徒の平等な教育機会の提供、コミュニケーションの向上を図ります。
Central desk はキャスター・引出しのPC保管庫・板書モニターが付いた教卓です。
Central stoolはキャスター付きのスツールです。
これまでは後方の生徒のために、先生は、ほぼ立って授業をしていましたが、距離が縮まったため、その必要がなくなりました。
座ることにより、先生も疲れにくく、また、生徒と近い目線の高さで授業ができるため、活発なコミュニュケーションを図れます。
生徒同士は環状に配置されているため、お互いの顔を見ることができ、議論など、コミュニュケーションが活発になります。
ICTには「生徒のテーブルの小型化」「板書を複数のモニターに映すこと」が可能であり、それらの特徴がこのレイアウトを実現させました。

The central desk and stool style is a new style for regular classrooms in which active learning chairs are arranged in a circle around a desk and stool.
In conventional classroom layouts, the distance between the teacher and students is different, and the interest in and attitude toward the class differs between the seats in front and behind, creating an unequal environment. However, this is eliminated, providing equal educational opportunities for teachers and students, students and students, and improving communication.
Central desk is a teaching table with casters, drawer PC storage, and board monitor.
The Central stool is a stool with casters.
Previously, the teacher had to stand almost entirely for the students in the back of the class, but this is no longer necessary due to the reduced distance.
By sitting down, the teacher is less fatigued and can teach at a closer eye level to the students, allowing for more active communication.
Students are arranged in a circle, so they can see each other's faces and engage in active communication, such as discussions.
ICT has the potential to reduce the size of the students' tables and to project the board on multiple monitors, and these features made this layout possible.
